Much as our attractive green crate from the council has its utilitarian qualities, it tends to clash with the cabinets in our Alessi bestrewn designer kitchen.Hail then the Ecopod – a can crushing, paper storing, bag tidying, all-in-one from renowned recyclers, reVend.It’s been penned in tandem with the designers at BMW, which gives it a tad more flair than your usual recycling box. By compacting your recyclables it also prevents them building up into an unmanageable heap by bin day.It comes in black or white (pictured) with an all stainless steel version promised soon. Pre-orders are being taken now, but there’s no final delivery date so hold on to your green crates for now.
