Gadget of the Day – Oregon Scientific ATC5K

Swum with sharks, wrestled crocodiles and jumped out of planes but no-one believes you? That's about to change with the Oregon Scientific ATC5K action

That’s about to change with the Oregon Scientific ATC5K action cam. This ultra-compact digital video camera will attach to your helmet, handlebars or whatever provides the best view of your extreme antics.

For water-based extreme action, or just catching the moment you pull that trout from the canal, it’s waterproof down to 3m. It’s shockproof too, so if you wipeout on that black run at least you’ll have some awesome footage to watch while your legs are in plaster.

There’s space for 32MB of movie clips, and you can add another 4GB via SD card. It takes 2 AAs and even comes with a remote for starting recordings.

You might want to start off by recording a last will and testament just in case it ends up being your last wipeout. See more headcams in action in our special vidcast.
