Garmin StreetPilot Onboard UK & Ireland launches on iPhone

One of the best navigation names, live speed cams, photo junction views and offline usage. Want to know more?

Garmin – the original GPS navigation company who has supplied the military and aviation companies for years – has a new iPhone app. The app, fully named Garmin StreetPilot Onboard UK & Ireland, uses downloaded maps to navigate you where you want to go, even without signal. But if you are connected it will feed in traffic data, speed camera locations, PhotoReal junction views (ideal for cycling) and 3D buildings. The best bit? After buying it for £45, Garmin’s super-fast 3D traffic alerts are just £3 per month, not amazing when compared to CoPilot‘s pay-per-traffic service which costs just £10 per year.
