Google Flipper makes news look pretty

Google is reportedly trialling a new Google Labs project called Flipper, that will give you a more visual way to view Google News.Tech Radar is report

Tech Radar is reporting that the project will see news stories appearing next to each other with snap shots of the website above the headline – probably easier understood from the picture below.

What you might not be able to see is that you can browse by sections as normal, but then also by other filters such as sources, keywords, most popular and “recommended”, perhaps suggesting some sort of Digg-style recommendation system could be added as well.

When you try to access the Flipper URL, it says you have to visit the page from “any computer on the corporate network”, suggesting the story definitely has some legs.
