Griffin’s new wireless PowerMate controller looks like an alien hockey puck

This Bluetooth controller is as useful as it is pretty

Griffin has revealed a new wireless version of its PowerMate Bluetooth controller at CES, and it’s drawn us in with a sleek and shiny aluminium design and pulsing blue glow.

The PowerMate can be used to execute commands in almost any application you throw at it, from movie editing to music mixing or even scrolling through webpages, documents and files.

Using low-energy Bluetooth 4.0, it can also double up as a music and mute control for your Mac and works with iMovie and GarageBand straight out of the box.

Custom commands can also be programmed, and the LEDs are also capable of showing off your system status.

The PowerMate will hit shelves this summer for US$60. Stay tuned for UK pricing and release information.
