Halo 5: Guardians is coming to Xbox One in Autumn 2015
Master Chief to return next year on the first Halo title built for Xbox One – and the TV show will arrive at the same time
Microsoft and developer 343 Industries have announced that the next instalment in the Halo series, Halo 5: Guardians, will be arriving on the Xbox One next autumn – and the Steven Spielberg-produced Halo TV series will begin airing at around the same time.

The first next-gen Halo game
The announcement reveals very little about either the game or the TV show, but says that the former will run at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers and have “the scope, features and scale [343 Industries] have been dreaming of for more than a decade”. Halo 5 will run on a brand new engine that the developer says will offer the scale and experience worthy of the Xbox One’s power.
343 Industries also dropped a huge hint that there’ll be some new Halo-related fun coming sooner, however, saying that the “journey definitely begins in 2014 with a giant leap, rather than a small step”. More information on this cryptic statement will be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 2014 conference, which takes place on 9th June. We’ll be in attendance, naturally, so keep it locked right here for all the Master Chief-related revelations.
