HTC to launch new tablet
Follow-up to HTC Flyer will feature “unique selling point” – although the name and ETA are still up in the air
HTC has revealed that a follow-up to its Flyer Android tablet is in the works. The manufacturer, which has generally focussed on phones over slates, told PC Advisor that a new tablet is in the works, but that it won’t be launched until it had a “unique selling point” to set it apart from rivals. Of which there are many.
To date, the only HTC tablet to launch in the UK is the Flyer (read our review), and we’d speculate that the new tablet will also rock Android. HTC does, of course, make Windows smartphones too, so there’s a slim chance that we’ll see a tablet sporting Microsoft’s OS – but Android just seems a more likely choice.
