HTC Runnymede packs Beats audio goodness
HTC's Runnymede shows off its Beats Audio emblazoned behind
Another day, another HTC leak. This time round, it’s the Runnymede – a phone hotly tipped to pack Dr Dre’s superb audio engineering, like the newly announced Sensation XE. Chinese retailer ePrice is responsible for the official press shots, which show off a unibody design a la HTC’s Windows-toting Radar, while matching the whopping 4.7in screen size of the Titan. It’s pretty skinny too, coming in at 9.9mm, so it’ll play nice with your pockets.
Speculation tells us the Runnymede will be running the Gingerbread flavour of Google Android, with the new Sense 3.5 UI powered by a 1.5GHz single-core processor. A choice of 16GB or 32GB of built-in memory is up for grabs, alongside 720p HD video skills, an 8MP snapper with dual LED flash and a front-facing 1.3MP cam for video calls and a bit of self-love. So, its specs are pretty similar to another leaked Beats Audio handset – the Vigor.
In far more unlikely speculation, the Runnymede is said to be shiping with an HTC Beats Solo headset, which would no doubt send its price tag soaring. But wouldn’t it be great if this was an optional extra?
Details are pretty scant and the Runnymede is yet to be officially outed. But as the first Beats by Dr Dre handset has already been announced, we’re hoping the rest of the Beats Audio-toting smartphone family will be putting in an appearance soon.
