Kinect SDK for Windows officially launches

The dawn of hand-waggle PC control is just around the corner

Don’t you just love it when yesterday’s rumours become today’s facts? An official announcement by Microsoft has revealed the immediate launch of the Kinect for Windows SDK Beta, which nimble-fingered programmers can download from here, for free. The SDK will give code junkies full access to all of the sensor’s magical internals, so we look forward to an incoming barrage of clever uses that will push this already impressive gaming accessory from toy to tool.
