Korg’s new 37-key sampler, the Korg Micro Sampler, does many great things but the oddest of them all is giving space for your iPhone. It’ll slot straight in and connect with a line-in jack.

While being able to add music from your iPhone and the iPhone’s many audio apps is a great feature, the Korg Micro Sampler can do a whole lot more. And it should do as it’ll set you back £379.

There’s a goose-neck microphone for adding vocals and MIDI in/out connections as well as 21 built-in effects and numerous sample modes. Record something and it’ll be splintered out across the keys.

The Korg Micro Sampler’s got enough internal memory to storre 42.66 minutes at 24Khz. It’s easy to break up and manipulate samples with software like Ableton but the physical fun the Micro Sampler provides is just fab.

We’ve got a Korg Micro Sampler in the office and once we’ve grabbed it back from the hands of Stuff’s resident noodler, Tony Horgan, we’ll give you a full hands-on.
