Latest Ninja Double Stack air fryer will be even more popular – here’s why

It's smaller, but you can still cook a bunch of dual-stacked food

Ninja Dual Stack SL300

Ninja’s double-stack air fryer has been a big success, but it’s still rather hefty (it is, after all, called the Double Stack XL). So the company has come up with a neat solution in the form of a more compact version, known as SL300.

It’s still double-stacked but with a 7.6L capacity rather than 9.5L. And I reckon it’ll be even more popular than the original model which remains on sale.

That smaller size means it’s ideal for smaller kitchens you’d find in the UK and Europe. It’s 25% thinner than the larger model so doesn’t take up as much space on your counter. It’s as tall – 38cm – as before so while it is designed to go under kitchen cupboards those with smaller kitchens should check if it’ll go under their cabinets.

While the SL300 is smaller than the SL400, you can still easily fit a whole 1.2kg roast chicken or 400g of French fries in each 3.8L drawer, and with a height of 38.5cm it is designed to fit under your kitchen cabinets. There are also six popular cooking functions, including the Air Fry function which cooks food with up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods*.

We don’t have a price for the SL300 yet, but it should be quite keenly priced when you consider that the full-size model can be picked up for $230/£230. So expect it to come in around the $200 mark.

Ninja says that the new model can still easily fit a 1.2kg roast chicken into a drawer, or 400g of French fries. Once again there are six cooking functions, plus match to cook across both drawers the same or sync to cook different food in each drawer but still have it finish at the same time. And you can have two foods in each drawer thanks to the Double Stack tech.

There’s also a new version (SL451) of the standard model, which adds a temperature probe to the mix so you can check food is done, especially useful for meat like chicken where it might not always be obvious how well it’s been cooked. Again, we don’t yet know how much this will cost, but given that it’s quite similar to the existing model, we’d it will probably only have a small premium.

Here are the latest prices for the original Double Stack XL air fryer.
