The Lenovo K80 has a massive 4000mAh battery and 4GB of RAM
Goodbye portable chargers. We're not going to miss you
Acer isn’t the only company willing to cram a massive battery into its smartphones.
Like the recently announced Liquid X2, Lenovo’s new K80 handset also packs in a whopping 4000mAh battery, which should happily provide around two days of use without having to worry about smartphone range anxiety.
While it’s not the slimmest device around measuring in at 8.5mm, it’ll should still be happilly jumping around when most of its rivals are struggling to stay awake.
Other specs include a 64-bit Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.8GHz, along with a healthy 4GB or RAM, 64GB of storage and a 13MP camera with optical image stabilisation.
Currently there’s not much benefit to having 4GB of RAM on Android, as applications haven’t developed far enough to make the most of it, but it’s a trend we expect to see over the next year, and we will eventually be rewarded with better performance once it becomes a standard feature.
It’ll land in China with a US$290 price tag, but there’s no word on whether or not it’ll ever hit international shores at this stage.
