Max Payne Mobile leaps in slow motion onto Android
Tardy shooter hits 'Droid devices on June 14th, firing both guns
Max Payne Mobile belatedly arrives on Android devices on June 14th – two months after it hit the iPhone and iPad, thanks to the range of ‘Droid devices that the game had to be optimised for.
Rockstar’s third-person shooter – a port of the original console game – features HD graphics with high resolution textures, as well as support for Rockstar’s online Social Club.
You’ll need a fairly powerful phone or tablet to run Max Payne Mobile – a full list of supported devices is available here – but for those who took issue with the iOS version’s touchscreen-only control setup, you’ll be happy to know that the Android version supports “select USB controllers.”
To whet your appetite for Max’s gun-wielding antics, down a bourbon and check out our review of the iOS version of Max Payne Mobile.
