Sony Ericsson has pimped the recently announced Vivaz with a slideout QWERTY keyboard, called it the Vivaz Pro, and is aiming it squarely at the BlackBerry-with-benefits crowd.
The Vivaz Pro still retains all the other features of the Vivaz, so it’s still geared up for video with a 720p HD video mode, 8.1MP camera and 3.2in touchscreen. It all runs on the Symbian S60 operating system too.
The keyboard has been masterfully jimmied into the Vivaz shell, making it only 2.5mm thicker than the original, now coming in at 15mm thick.
Sounds like good news for those of you who still cling to your physical keyboards. It will come in business-like black and white flavours and is due to be released in the second quarter of this year, no word on pricing yet.
