For some on the Stuff.tv news desk, sat-navs are about as exciting as watching John Major paint a wall. But the Navigon 8410 could solve that – it’s coming to the UK in September and the specs are droolworthy.

For a fairly hefty £399.99, the Navigon 8410 crams in photo-real mapping of major cities, Freeview TV and media playback when your parked and a 5in touchscreen.

All that loveliness comes packed into the Navigon 8410’s brushed aluminium frame which is seriously better looking than a lot of satnavs.

Sticking Freeview in the Navigon 8410, puts it head to head with Mio Navman’s latest batch of route finders. It’ll also face a tussle with the Tom Tom Go Live 930.
