New Google Nexus 10 leak puts Asus in the 10in driving seat

Samsung's been ousted from the Nexus party, making Asus the big man on the Google campus. If you believe the rumours, anyway...

An allegedly genuine render of the new Nexus 10 has made its way onto the interwebs, and it looks like Asus will now be making Google’s next 10-incher.

The render – which was sent into Phone Arena from an anonymous source – shows off a less bloated design with smaller bezels than Samsung’s 10in Google tablet effort.

Android KitKat 4.4 (which will make its debut alongside the Nexus 5) is unsurprisingly present, and the impressively pixel-packed 2560×1600 display returns, offering a slightly higher pixel density than the new iPad Air.

An unnamed quad-core processor is also on the menu, and we’re going to make an educated guess and put our money on Qualcomm’s mighty Snapdragon 800 chip. 2GB of RAM and 32GB of (presumably non-expandable) storage rounds off all the specs available to us so far.

That’s all the info we have on the Nexus 10, but we’re expecting an influx of fresh rumours over the coming week – so stay tuned.
