Nikon beams the Coolpix S1200pj onto our wish list
This third-gen projector cam shows off more lumens than ever
It’s been two years since Nikon outed the Coolpix S1000pj – the world’s first compact camera with built-in projector – but we’re still leaning over shoulders and shoving friends out of the way to see 3in LCD screens. Maybe the latest version, the Coolpix S1200pj, will do the trick in winning us over with its 14MP sensor, 5x zoom and 720p HD video recording.
Fans of projecting their hi-jinks onto nearby walls or unsuspecting stranger’s backs will be relieved to know that the S1200pj can create images and video of up to 60 inches and beams brighter images than the first two Coolpix projector cams.
Once the lights are off for your cinema showing, luminous controls will help you to focus the images and you can link the compact to your PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad or IPod Touch. If you fancy an extrovert compact, get your hands on £400 by 22nd September.
