Nokia finally rolls out N79 and N85
It's been a while since Nokia dropped some N–series goodies into our gadget–loving palms, but now we're being spoiled with two newbies, th
The N79 is apparently the thinnest N–series yet, clocking in at a pocket–pleasing 15mm. There’s a 5MP snapper with Carl Zeiss lens, Nokia Maps with turn–by–turn navigation, geotagging and an FM transmitter for blasting out tracks straight from the Nokia Music Store.
Then there’s support for up to 8GB of external storage, a 3,5mm jack and a very retro string of snap on, snap off ‘smart’ covers which change the ‘theme’ of the phone. Come now Nokia, you mean they come in different colours.
Of course, you can always snag the N85 instead. There’s the same 8GB support and 3.5mm jack, as well as that 5MP snapper and FM transmitter. It really comes into its own as an N–Gage blower, with N81 alike gaming keys and ten titles preloaded.
Naturally both come with HSDPA, so you’ll be bale to cruise the web at speeds up to 7.2Mbps.
As ever, Nokia’s keeping schtum on prices and exact release dates. Still, you should be able to grab the newly minted 24GB N96 soon instead. And if that still doesn’t get you tingling, maybe our feature on the touchscreen Nokia Tube will.
