Olympus has outed two new additions to its Mju Tough range, in the hardy shape of the 6020 and 8010.
Both pack 14 megapixels, and you can also expect a 5x wide zoom, advanced face detection for up to 16 people, dual image stabilisation and a Tap Control function, that will allow you to take snaps by just tapping the camera’s body – handy if you’re wearing gloves.
But of course its all about the knocks and bumps these cameras can take that give them the Tough branding, and whether you’ll be taking them mountain biking, or have a tendency to drop your camera after one too many, both should be able to take most things you can throw at them in their stride.
The 6020 is the lesser specced of the two, being waterproof to 5m, shockproof to 15m and freezeproof to -10°C. However, the 8010 takes things a few steps further, being waterproof to 10m, shockproof to 2m, freezeproof to -10°C, crushproof to 1000kg and even scratchproof as well.
The 6020 will be available in blue, black, green and pink for £319.99, and the 8010 in black or silver for £399.99.
