Panasonic Lumix GF3 is world’s smallest
Ok, it’s the world’s smallest Micro Four Thirds camera, but like Joe Pesci it’s small in an impressively talented sort of way
Panasonic has revealed the Lumix GF3, just six months after the retro-looking DMC-GF2 release – and this one’s far from retro as the world’s smallest Micro Four Thirds snapper (it’s a little taller than the Sony NEX-C3, but thinner and shorter). Now that’s progress. Add a 12.1MP sensor, Venus FHD processor and a huge 16% reduction in size and you have a killer snapper that even manages 1080i HD video at 25fps.
You can get one later this month for about £500 with a 14-42mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom lens, or £550 with a 14mm F/2.5 pancake lens (or both for £630) – but if you have any Olympus or Panasonic lenses kicking about this’ll take those too.
