Philips’ SoundHub and SoundBar recreate that cinema experience
Get the cinema experience at home courtesy of Philips
If you’re going to kit your TV out with audio enhancing tech, you’ve got to make sure you do it properly. Philips’ SoundBar and SoundHub Home Cinema speakers sound like they’re up to the challenge.
When it comes to a surround sound system, looking good should be high up on the priority list – right next to awesome audio quality. Enter the SoundHub system, complete with 360Sound. What this essentially means is you get three premium drivers; one front-facing and two firing audio from the sides. So it pumps audio from all angles, thus delivering that 2.1 cinema-like surround audio experience. Best of all, it connects to your TV with a single cable, so there’ll be no fiddly wires to grapple with.
The SoundBar goes for a completely different look entirely. Plus, it’s the first ever SoundBar to stream movies directly from a tablet to the TV. It sounds great for tackling huge libraries of movies on hard drives – all you need is DLNA functionality. It also helps that its design is pretty slick and ideal for modern living (read: small flats). There’s even an additional subwoofer to make those action scenes seem just that little bit more real. If you’re still concerned a 30in SoundBar is going to take up too much room, Philips is also launching a mini SoundBar, for a smaller surround sound experience. Philips promises amazing sound for its size, which it puts down to its FullSound and DoubleBass technology.
Pricing and official launch details are scant, but as soon as we hear something, you’ll be the first to know about it.
