Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie release date set for May 2013

Mark those calendars – the date for the next serving of Android appears to be set

Google has announced the date for its annual I/O event where the next iteration of Android – thought to be called Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie – is expected to be unveiled.

Set to kick off on May 15th, Google I/O will hopefully offer up plenty of tasty treats for the Android faithful to chow down on, while Nexus 4 owners can look forward to beaming Android 5.0 into their devices.

This year’s Google I/O saw the launch of the Google Nexus 7 tablet, so here’s to hoping the big G has more shiny toys for us to play with next year.
