The same team that brought Facetime to the iPhone 3GS have worked their latest magic on the innards of Apple’s first tablet, enabling it to make phone calls as well as sending and receiving text messages. If you fancy becoming a modern-day Dom Joly then you’ll need a jailbroken iPad, US$20 and the developer’s Cydia repo which can be found here. Gigantic shovel hands and strong arms may also come in handy.
