Samsung Galaxy S3 prototype reveals bigger home button
Sammy's been hiding Galaxy S3 test units in decoy casing – but there's still plenty to get excited about
We’re not waiting until the Samsung Galaxy S3 launch to start scrutinising the handset’s spec sheet. Oh no, that would be seriously late to the game, not to mention silly since we can’t move for hands on videos and leaked photos of Galaxy S3 prototypes.
This one, which popped up on Mobile01, a Chinese forum (it’s since been taken down but not before The Verge took a sneaky copy) shows a ‘dummy’ testing unit of the Galaxy S3 kept in unfinished casing to disguise what the overall design will be. But we can see that Samsung has swapped around the standard Ice Cream Sandwich buttons and installed a bigger home button than we’re used to seeing on Android handsets.
We’re sure more design details will trickle through the gaps in Samsung’s defences leading up to the big Mobile Unpacked 2012 event and we’ll keep on bringing you the best rumours on those all-important Samsung Galaxy S3 specs too.
