Samsung Galaxy S7 release date allegedly leaked
We could see Samsung’s next flagship in February
If you’ve been impatiently counting down the seconds until Samsung unveils its next flagship, then you’ll be glad to hear that you shouldn’t have too long to wait.
According to a leaked slide provided by China Mobile, the Galaxy S7 will be arriving on the carrier’s network in March.
If true, then this matches up with existing rumours of a February launch event, just before or during Mobile World Congress 2016.
The Galaxy S6 was unveiled at the Barcelona trade show on 1 March earlier this year, before landing on shelves on 10 April. Mobile World Congress kicks off a little earlier on 22 February next year, which could also explain the slightly earlier March release date.
We expect to see Samsung reveal both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models, and both are likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM, along with featuring 3D Touch-like pressure-sensitive screens.
Rumours of the return of a microSD slot have yet to be confirmed, but it’ll certainly be a step in the right direction for many Android fans if true.
We don’t expect to hear anything from Samsung until the official launch event, but that doesn’t mean the rumours are going to stop any time soon. Stay tuned.
