Samsung Omnia Pro headed for July release?

Not content with dominating the tech headlines today with news of its first Android phone, Samsung is also causing buzz with whispers that the Omnia P

The Photoshoppers over at HDblog have mocked up a picture of what we can expect from the handset when it hits shelves, which will be in July if these reports are to be believed.

Apparently you can count on an AMOLED touchscreen and horizontal sliding QWERTY keypad being a part of the new addition, as well as a 5 megapixel camera with video capability, image stabilisation, flash and autofocus.

Apparently the Omnia Pro will hit shelves at a rather competitive price, perhaps down to the fact the processor will remain the same as its predecessor. It will also run Windows Mobile 6.1, but will be upgradeable to 6.5 when it finally decides to show up to the party.

It remains to be seen if these rumours amount to anything, and so while we await the official word from Samsung, check out what we thought to the Omnia HD when we got our hands on it earlier this year.
