Sharp’s colossal 70-inch Aquos Quattron TV

Time to whip out the Yellow Pages and hire a crane...

It’s highly unlikely that Sharp unveiled the 70in LC-70LE732U with the aid of a red velvet curtain – the fabric costs would have been enormous.

This wall-hogging, Full HD LED-backlit set boasts Netflix support, DLNA streaming and Vudu Apps, including Facebook and Twitter.

The lack of 3D support is negated by the reasonable US$3800 price tag, although 3D sets are due for a summer release for those craving extra dimensions.

An unnecessary extravagance? Probably, but after you slip a disc carrying it in, you’ll be couch-ridden for months, enjoying its beauty in full.
