We don’t tend to get hot and bothered about remotes but the Sonos CR200 is something else. We spotted it a while back but now it’s here for real.

Kicking the slightly clunky click wheel CR100 remote into touch, the Sonos CR200 boasts a 3.5in, 640×480 touchscreen.

As well as the tempting touchscreen, the Sonos CR200 has dedicated mute, volume and zone controls. A new removable battery also ends the risk of running out of juice for good.

The Sonos CR200’s redesigned interface takes some inspiration from the Sonos iPhone app while Last.fm access now includes artist info.

The Sonos CR200 comes with a cradle and is out now for £279 or as part of the new Sonos BU250 bundle which will set you back a hefty £799.
