Sony introduces the Vaio L 3D and S series

Whether you want a 3D-toting PC or a lightweight road warrior, the Japanese tech giant has you covered

If you’re in the market for an all-in-one PC with 3D capability then you’ll definitely want to take a look at Sony’s newly announced Vaio L Series 3D. The minimalistic desktop boasts a 24in full HD LED screen, a one-press button that converts all 2D content to 3D and a dedicated 3D HDMI input for 3D PS3 gaming. Plus, a HDMI out port should make any dual-monitor setup a doddle, which is a nice bonus.

If portability and endurance are what get your gadget juices flowing however, then the 2.2kg Vaio S Series may be more up your street. Its killer feature is an optional large-capacity sheet battery which can bring up the total battery life to a whopping 13 hours. Coupled with a full HD 15.5in display, backlit keys and up to 1TB of storage, this is a true road warrior. The existing 13.3in S Series models will also be getting a taste of Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors at last.

UK pricing and release dates for both models are yet to be announced, but given the Sony Vaio label, we don’t expect them to be cheap – better start saving.
