Sony’s PS1-style PS4 controller arrives to celebrate PlayStation’s 20th anniversary
It’s a DualShock 4 in a shade of old-school grey, and it's on sale now
If you missed out on the 20th anniversary edition PlayStation 4 decked out in grey PlayStation 1 livery, here’s your opportunity to bag yourself a little consolation prize.
Sony has today revealed the edition’s similarly grey DualShock 4 controller is on sale to all. The console was limited to just 12,300 units (leading to certain unscrupulous types selling theirs for huge amounts of money on eBay) but it appears that anyone with fifty-odd quid to spend and a nostalgic bent will be able to snap the DualShock up.
The controller is available right now from all the usual outlets.
This comes mere days after the company unveiled silver and gold editions of the PlayStation 4 controller at the Tokyo Game Show, so if the idea of buying another black gamepad leaves you cold, you can rest assured that Sony has you covered. We want to see a “teal” one next, please.
If the fact that the PlayStation has been around for over 20 years makes you feel positively ancient (we know the feeling), take a walk down memory lane with our list of the 25 best PlayStation games ever made.
