Three’s sexy new Sony Eric
Exclusive: good news for Three punters - the UK's biggest 3G network is going to start flogging Sony Eric's K608i next week. Could this be the phone to beat the Samsung Z500 in the 3G beauty pageant?
Stuff Exclusive
Here’s one in the eye for Voda and Orange – Three’s going to be the first network to sell Sony Ericsson’s gorgeous K608i in the UK.
It’s also the first Sony Eric handset on Three, and we predict it’s fast going to become the network’s top seller.
Why so? Well, design and size aside – it’s only 18.8mm thick – it should make for a great 1.3MP camphone if Sony Eric’s recent efforts are anything to go by. There’s an FM tuner, too, which makes it the first 3G phone we’ve seen to pack a radio.
The rest of the features are good. You get Bluetooth, an MP3/AAC player, a second cam for video calls, 32MB of internal memory and a 262K colour screen. The only notable omission is the memory card slot – there isn’t one.
Pricing will be announced next week when the K608i goes on sale over at Three’s website.
