That 46in telly looked so small in the showroom, but now it’s hiding half the living room. Toshiba has the answer. It’s kept the screen size, but trimmed the surround (please don’t try this at home) to create the stunning Regza XF (pictured). The bezel, available in glossy black or metallic red, is now a measly 23mm wide – half that of the C series.Thankfully Tosh hasn’t compromised the spec list. It still gets 1080p, 10-bit colour processing, a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and an Onkyo speaker system. For those with more space, there’s also the new Z series, which packs a formidable 1080p, Active Vision M100HD 100Hz Picture processing, 10-bit colour processing, 24p picture compatibility and up to 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Both sets also come with three HDMI slots for your PS3, Xbox 360 Elite and HD DVD player. We think that just about covers it.Essentials Toshiba Regza XF 40in, 46in, Z 37in, 42in, 47in, 52in, 5in Price: £TBA On sale: TBA Contact: Toshiba Related stories: Tosh picks a pair of HD-DVDs Philips Aurea TVs shine ons Posh Tosh Regzas get full-HD
