Watch the amazing new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer
It connects the dots a little bit, but there's still plenty of mystery within
Excited about the new Star Wars flick? Of course you are – maybe you even ordered tickets two months in advance – or tried to, like many Americans tonight, and ran into constant 404 errors. Ah, good times.
While the Internet seemingly broke trying to sell us tickets, it’s doing fine selling us reborn nostalgia with the latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. It’s presumably the final one that’ll be released before the film hits cinemas in December.
It premiered in the States during Monday Night Football and was immediately available on YouTube, which you’ll find embedded above. The trailer delivers more than two minutes of footage from the film, and in many ways connects the dots between some previously seen clips in earlier trailers and teases.
And still, there’s so much we don’t know – like, where’s Luke Skywalker? Why haven’t we seen him? Or have we? In any case, as with the previous full trailer, the social media reaction has been widely positive, praising the little details, apparent warmth between characters, and better job of maintaining the look and feel of the classic trilogy than the mostly ill-fated prequels.
Try to savor the hype: The Force Awakens is still roughly two months from hitting cinemas, with a 17 December release pegged for the UK and an 18 December bow in North America.
