Stuff can now officially declare: the future has begun, for we have the gadget of boyhood dreams – the wristwatch communicator.Skipping the clunky M300 we saw previewed a while back, SMS Technology has gone straight out and launched the svelte, leather strapped M500.The Buck Rogers timepiece features a 1.5in touchscreen (eat you heart out, iPhone), Bluetooth, 128MB memory an MP3 and video player and, um, dial-up modem (what, no HSDPA?)It’ll manage 200 minutes of futuristic natter, or up to 80 hours idly sitting on your wrist waiting for a call and telling the time before needing its fuel cells recharged.Though you can hold it to your ear to talk, like a person quizzically checking if his digital watch is still, er, ticking, we’d recommend opting for the bundled Bluetooth headset and practising phrases like ‘Come in Alpha 2. Alpha 2, do you read me?’
