Adidas Supernova Cushion 6 review

It’s easy to assume that Adidas has rested on its three-striped, retro laurels upon seeing the Supernova Cushion 6s. But fear not – every single panel of these trainers has been scrutinized by Adi’ eggheads with movement in mind.  

The Supernova Cushion 6’s list of tech is impressive. Adidas’ ever-evolving Torsion system supports the midfoot admirably, seams have been jettisoned to keep things more streamlined, adiPRENE takes the shock and ForMotion supports your muscular system and helps maintain your running posture.

It’s not all PR waffle either. Wearing this lightweight runner is a pleasure, with an anatomical fit and anti-microbial footbed keeping the smells and infections at bay.

And because the ultimate discomfort is being walloped by a truck it’s nice to know that the Supernova Cushion 6 carries 360 degrees of reflectivity to keep you visible, even if the even if the Rocky IV soundtrack has taken your mind elsewhere. 

 With so much tech on board this shoe shouldn’t look as agreeable as it does. Its formidable looks evoke memories – at least among us trainer geeks – of pioneering Torsion releases like the EQT Support, and proves that hi-tech running trainers needn’t prohibit you from collecting a few cool points.
