Starcount serves up world’s most popular people at a glance
The social media popularity contest gets cranked up to 11. Prepare your self-esteem
A new social media tool called Starcount is striving to measure who the world’s most popular people and brands are, by sucking in data from a plethora of social media networks.
Starcount will allow curious users to find out in real time who or what is the most popular, by collecting information from 11 of the top social networks including Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
That’s roughly 1.5 billion people being measured overall, and with the ability to catch up with tweets, status updates and most watched YouTube videos in one place, Starcount could be a nirvana for die-hard socialites.
If you fancy signing up for an invite, head on over to Starcount here. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to tweet about cats and record ourselves skydiving to boost our online worth. Number one spot, here we come.
